I am writing an APA style paper, the header needs to be different after the 1st page. I went to inspector --> document setup---> section ---> deselected match previous selection and everything stayed the same. whats going on?

The first page must be in its own section for the header to be unique. The second page begins a new section whose Headers & Footers requires Match previous section unchecked.

click at the bottom of the 1st page > Menu > Insert > Section Break
click in 2nd page > Sidebar > Document > Section > uncheck Match previous section

Thanks for asking this question and for the answers. I miss the old way of editing headers it was much easier. Ah well, progress marches on!
