Auto-run on Superdrive

When I have a disc that has an executable (.exe file), I am used to that auto-running on my old Windows laptops. That does not occur on my Mac with the USB Superdrive.

When I try to open the contents of the disc, the exe file does not appear. Not sure what I am missing?
