windows 10 no sound

Winwows 10 successfully running but there is no sound output.

I have been trying for some weeks to find a cure, searched the web and Apple discussions but nothing listed regarding my issue.

spec:

Mac mini late 2012 (listed by Apple in Bootcamp page as compatible for Windows10 install)

i5 2.5 GHz processor

18 GB RAM

200 GB free storage on boot drive

Yosemite

Bootcamp with Windows 10 successfully installed

sound output works well in Yosemite; record and playback

in windows 10 no sound input or output

I found only one relevant article in the Apple Bootcamp Discussion which suggests the following:

run bootcamp and download latest windows support files to USB memory device

start up in windows and run set up from USB, Bootcamp version 6 build 6133 loads but receive a message "Installer stopped working"

tried a number of USB drives from 8 GB to 64 GB capacity

downloading files again to USB drive every day, no luck

I have also deleted and created a new Bootcamp partition and installed Windows again many times.

Any suggestions regarding this error?

thanks Gary
