Q: Does Remote desktop include administrator and client software?

Does Remote Desktop from the Apple Store include both client and administrator software?

dual G4, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Here's a little more info on the environment:

I'm trying to administer my daughters MAC laptop in another state. Still working on getting the OSX version. There's a reason why I need this tool.
The administrator is using a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.11.1, 8GB, 2.5GHz i5.

Looking over the client software description indicates that it is for remote access to a Windows machine. Not what I need.

Got it. Read the Administrator Guide. The client computer is set up with sharing. Nuff said.

Make sure you're correctly port forwarding if you're using ARD on a remote computer on a different network.
