Is it possible to edit track and album details on a computer accessing a shared library?

I have shared my library and allowed read/write from both ends. I am not able to edit tracks located on my desktop library while using my laptop.

Is this possible?

No, sharing allows you to view the remote library, not edit it. If using home sharing you may be able to copy tracks into the local library which would then be editable, but there is then no way to reflect those changes back to the original.
