Upgrading a 2008 Mac Pro 8-Core to El Capitan?
Is it a good idea to upgrade a 2008 Mac Pro 8-Core to El Capitan? Mostly run FCP7 and Logic Pro9.
Thanks.

Upgrade from what OSX version?
The version of the apps may not run on EC.
Also, if you have some USB or PCle devices they may require an updated driver for EC and for some devices there are no updated drivers.

Yosemite 10.10.5, 24GB RAM. Latest versions of FCP7 and Logic. I'm not desperate to move... everything runs fine as is. Perhaps to wait...?
FCP7 on el capitan? good luck.

Logic Pro v 9.1.8 (1700.67) (32-bit)
FCP7 v 7.0.3

Unless...
