Pictures I take with my iphone 6 plus camera show in the bottom left corner preview window in the camera app but when i open the photos app the same pictures don't appear anywhere in any albums.
Also, i was trying to delete a couple of screeshots but i was not able to delete them. Photos app is unresponsive after this.

Really? Have you looked in Camera Roll?

Again, start by looking in Camera Roll.
Yes, I looked in Camera Roll. It was as if the photos app was stuck at something. I deleted a couple of old photos and restarted the phone and the pictures showed up in Camera Roll when previously they were not showing.
