Q: Panic jnl: transaction too big - mac wont start

Hello,

Got into a mess today when I was trying to move the large videos (probably 1-2 gb each, 10 files) to my external hdd. laptop shut and not restarting with below error:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xfffff): "jnl: transaction too big (1044992 >= 1048064 bytes, buff size 4096..

Mac OS version: 14F27 (Yosemite 10.10.5)

I have read in other articles to disable journal and enable them again but though I contact apple support, I could not figure out how to do this or if there are other troubleshooting options to fix this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Few things I tried but did not help:

Command + R, does not load up recovery option

Option button while loading, give me two options macintosh HD and recovery 10.10.something, I select the recovery and hit return/enter, same error pops up while loading

shift + control + option + power button. Does not help.
