Im trying to sync my new iPhone 6 with iTunes on my mac. iTunes tells me i need the new version - when i download it iTunes tells me my mac needs to be 10.8.5 and mine is currently 10.7.5 and I've checked for updates and it tells me that its fine? How do I get that version? Please!
Open the Mac App Store and try downloading El Capitan. If you get told that it's incompatible with your computer, so is the current iTunes version; the online Apple Store sells download codes for Mountain Lion 10.8, but it has the same system requirements as El Capitan.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading.
