Siri doesn't recognize email addresses in contacts

Email addresses are listed in my contacts, but when I ask Siri to email a contact- she is telling me that they do not have an e-mail address. Has anyone else encountered this? I am visually impaired and I depend on Siri for many things. Since I upgraded to the iphone 6s in September, I have had nothing but problems in using my phone. I had a 4s for almost 4 years and never had these types of issues.
