itunes importing bad (empty) music files (mp3, m4a)

System: Win10, iTunes 12.2

Importing a CD to MP3 appears to work (really fast), but all of MP3 files created are vitually empty (3K in size) and don't have any audio when played (0 second duration). Same issue happens when I try to import as Apple loss less (m4a).

Import via Windows Media Player works fine (but is a hassle). Been having this issue for awhile, used to work in previous version of iTunes (don't remember version #).

iTunes-OTHER, Windows 10

Quick update: iTunes actually can't play the music on the CD. It is exactly the same issue as posted here: iTunes not playing CDs?

Except I cannot resolve the issue by unchecking the "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" from Import Settings.

Again, CDs play fine in Windows Media Server.

Macherry,

Is this only happening on one CD? If so, rip the CD with Windows Media Player, and add the resulting MP3s to your iTunes library.

Forgot I posted this question a yr ago. I still have this problem. Happens with all CDs. I have to DVD burner drives, happens on both drives.
