In OSx System preferences change the start up disk to Boot Camp Windows.
Thanks Bob, we'll give it a go. Cheers
Everything I have read says that the only way to get from OS X to Windows with BootCamp is to reboot. Since the Windows in BootCamp is running as the operating system and not an emulation, the reboot is the only way to get it to be the active operating system.

If you are running a long process in Bootcamp/Windows, you must already be in Windows, otherwise you cannot run Windows and OS X simultaneously without using a VM engine (Parallels, Fusion, VirtualBox, etc.). If you are using a VM Engine, then OS X and Windows/VM is running, not Windows/Bootcamp.
