Some blood (nosebleed) in my trackpad. What should I do?

I just had a nosebleed, and two droplets of blood got on the edge of my trackpad on my laptop, and some blood started to seep in. I immediately wiped it away. But is there anything I should do to take precaution? Should I get it checked? What damage could have been done?

I must admit I get nosebleeds from time to time and have often worried about the consequences. But while blood is liquid and liquids and electricals do not mix, because it is thicker than water it may not have actually got inside. Moreover, if the machine was warm it could have congealed before it reached a critical position.

If you have a local Apple store take it into the genius bar for assessment.
