FaceTime fails to respond to the front-facing camera

Hello! Ever sense I installed El Capitan, there are time when FaceTime randomly decides that I no longer have a front facing camera. Is there any resolve to this issue? I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Does anyone know if apple checks apple support communities for common problems? I am new to this, so I wasn't sure how serious Apple takes software issues. So far..... I really regret upgrading my new mac to this software. Super glitchy.
