Macbook Pro Keeps Crashing

Hi,

I have a mid 2012 macbook pro with 10.9.5 installed and suddenly it keeps crashing (rebooting, saying there was a problem and then restarting). I thought that maybe it had a overheating problem so I removed the back and used compressed air to clean it. However, although there was a little dust it did not seem to be the problem. I also installed a temp app and this seems to show average temperature between 50-70c. I have run the extended hardware test and it found no problems but the issue still happens and often within a 10 minutes of being started after being turned off all night so not exactly hot.

Every time it crashes it generates a report to send to apple which I do not understand (the report that is), can anyone tell me which bit I need to look at or point out where the issue is please? I can pull other reports from console if they are needed?

Many thanks

Dan

These are the potential problems:

Install the original RAM and see if the panics stop.

Delete these items and see if the panics stop;

User uploaded file

If they do, reintroduce them separately to see which is the 'guilty' party.

If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. Bring the kernel panic report with you. There is probably a hardware problem, specifically the CPU.

Ciao.

That kind of panic is often caused by a memory fault.

According to Apple's specifications, that model can use at most 8 GB of memory, but you've installed 16 GB. The results are unpredictable. I know that the aftermarket RAM vendor says that the configuration will work. If you accept that assurance, please ask the vendor for help with any problems you have. Otherwise, reinstall the original memory, or new memory that meets the official specifications.
