White screen on 4s and wont restart!!

Please help me!

I own an iphone 4s and had updated to the latest software which was ios 9 however the phone had randomly shut down after flashing a white screen. Each time i switch it on it tells me to connect to itunes,which i had done to try and restart my phone and clean it to start from scratch. However when i try restart it the phone just flashes a white screen, restarts and goes back to the recovery mode screen and its an ongoing cycle... Ive tried everything and was wondering if there is anythng that can fix this and if anyone else has the same problem.
