Is there a way to transfer messages from my Mac to my iPhone?

Long story short, I had to restore my iPhone 6 Plus today but my most recent backup is from October. I have messages on my MacBook Pro from that date in October, up until this morning. Now there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get all of my message history from my Mac onto my iPhone. I am just wondering if there is any way at all to do this (ex: via file transfer, etc).
