Thank you for your question. I now see that others have had a similar question and it has to do with the fact that I have a POP server instead of an IMAP- type. I guess I need to contact comcast to have them change this.
you need only to get the information if they have the IMAP service active and if they do get the server's address.
an alternative i could suggest you is using icloud or gmail service, you could download your Comcast mail to GMail using traditional POP and then sync all your devices with GMail using IMAP, if that works for you.
