I'm about to go crazy over that there is not possible to print out a simple pdf-file.
This has annoyed me for a couple of years now. And I'm starting to realize that mr Jobs is not coming back.

What happens when you open in Preview and then go to File>Print?
You are going to have to give us a lot more information then that.
What device is the PDF on?
What printer is being used in the attempt to print it?
What operating system is using?
What applications was used to create the PDF file?
How are you attempting to send the PDF file to the printer?
also, if you have installed Adobe Reader, many of the .pdf features built into Mac OS X are preempted by the extra junk it installs. Adobe reader is set as the default Reader, and Preview is no longer used automatically. This can make printing difficult.
It will open in Quick time for some reason and it only shows the first page. When I try to print it out there is only a blank paper to print.
What does it do in Preview?

What is the source of the PDFs? What app created them (if you know).
If you right click on the file and select Ge Info what does that say about the file? Is it a reasonable size?
Most of the time it's files from the my bank, receipts and so on. Pdf from mail is usually a problem. From internet in general.
The size's is not a problem.

The free disk space is extremely low. You need to either start deleting or moving your files to another disk to free up at least 3 or 4 times as much free space as is currently on your disk drive.
The first step you will need to do is to implement a backup system. Once you get a couple of disk drives, configure Time Machine to backup to one of them. The other will be where you move your files to make room on your system disk drive.
That's true, I got some cleaning up to do, but I don't think that is causing the trouble to print out 2 sides or 1 side with only a few words of text.
