Hi there how do i merge two apple ID's, currently i have one that for purchases on iTunes and a different one for iCloud and i would prefer to only have one

You can't merge Apple IDs. You will have to use both, as I have 2 and have to use both.

If there one for iTunes is an e-mail address, you can use that one for both. To access your iTunes purchases, you need to use the Apple ID you made purchases with.
