apple tv display goes blank while playing videos - randomly

i am noticing that display goes blank when I play video from various app sources for about few seconds and comes back up. This happens randomly enough not to be able to specifically mention steps for reproduction. It's happening so often that I am sure many more users might have come across this issue. This seem to happen when using many apps as well.

Is there a solution to this problem? it's becoming annoying to play any video not knowing when the screen will go blank 😟

Example situations:

1. launching Sing! Karaoke

2. play any video either on netfilx, iTunes or home videos or other apps like you tube

3. randomly with many other apps
