I have a 3rd generation apple tv. I have an apple id and password. My apple tv will not recognize my apple ID. I keep getting the same window box saying I do not have an itunes store account. How does this work???? I have tried multiple ways to reset, restart, unplug etc. etc. to no avail.

Are you only seeing the Computers and Settings icons on your TV screen?
This is happening to me with the new apple tv 4th gen that I purchased. It is signed into my icloud and the game center but won't verify my apple ID when I try to sign into iTunes/app store.

Go to itunes main page apple ID Sign out then Sign back in on another apple device
Then try Atv 4 again .
