I just got new remote,the silver one,tried to connect with old cable. But the light just flashed once when I pushed button,the cable didn't have any response. How to connect new remote with old cable. Thank you.

The old remote didn't have any "cable". The new Siri remote that comes with the new ATV4 has a standard Apple lightening cable that's only used for chargeing the battery - there is no usb connectivity for either remote only charging...
