iPhone photos go directly into Photo, can the go to iPhoto?

With El Capitan, I could find a way to move a photo that went directly from my iPhone into Photo, back to iPhoto. Share option does not allow it. I am not ready to abandon iPhoto, because I have many photo books in it. Is this the end for iPhoto?

iPhoto is no longer developed by apple, but it is working on el Capitan.

So for the time being, iPhoto 9.6.1 is still working.

Export the photos from Photos and import them to iPhoto.

How are you transfering from your iPhone to Photos?

If you are using My Photo Stream, you could enable it for iPhoto instead of Photos.
