How to restore music to my iPhone

II had to reset my iPhone6 because it was making phone calls by itself. i backed up to both iTunes on my. Mac laptop and to iCloud.

i tried to restore from ITunes but I was told that suddenly my version of iTunes was too old to restore my iPhone. That seemed weird sine it was able to accept the backup ...so okay, I downloaded the newer version of iTunes. Then I was unable to install my new version of iTunes because I'm running Snow Leopard... And that OS won't support the newer iTunes. Now what? I restored my contacts, apps, etc. from iCloud but my music is still on my Mac laptop, not on my iPhone.

Much of my music is from CD's not from the Apple Store. So it's not on iCloud.

Ideas, anyone? This is a truly great "Catch 22". I'm not smiling though. I'm feeling betrayed.
