iphoto duplicate downloads from iphone

When I plug in my iphone 6+ to my MacBook Pro, I want to load my photos from my phone to my MacBook. Iphotos want to download all the pictures on my phone, including the ones already imported to iphoto and not only the ones that have not already been imported.

Help!
