iphone 4S driver for Windows 7 (laptop PC) (current iOS on iphone is 5.0.1)

Hi there Apple Support Community,

Background info:

I have an iphone 4S (current iOS on the iphone is 5.0.1). The phone has never been backed up and I wish to save my photos to an external storage and back up the phone before updating from iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 9.

I have a Hewlett Packard laptop (3 weeks old) using Windows 7 (64 bit) OS.

When I connect my iphone 4S into the HP laptop, the device driver doesn't successfully install. I've troubleshot the suggestions with no success.

I'm searching for the relevant driver for my iphone 4S and laptop to communicate as the current device drivers between the iphone and HP laptop are not working.

My local Apple Store and the Apple Tech Team have advised I need to locate the relevant driver however they seem unable to provide me with the specific driver required (due to the old phone and old iOS). I've requested if Apple can kindly supply me with the correct driver from their repository of old drivers. They advised they do not have the driver available for download from the Apple website and have referred me to another device download site. None seem to be working.

I'm wondering if someone else has experienced this issue and may be able to assist with the correct driver.

Many thanks, Brad

The necessary drivers are included with the iTunes installation package. Install the current version of iTunes. If you don't have iTunes installed, you don't have the drivers. The drivers are not available separately.
