iPhone has no signal in USA but works in Europe

Hello,

I bought a second hand iPhone 5s in Europe to a guy that said the phone was bought in the UK.

I'm from Portugal and I have been using the phone in Portugal and also in Spain with no problems. I've used different SIM cards from different networks and had no problem.

I went to the USA for 2 days and now I'm in Central America and the phone never got any signal... it says "No Service"... I've tried with my Portuguese SIM Card and a Spanish Orange SIM Card but nothing...

I've already Reset network settings but still the same...

My girlfriend has an android phone with an Orange SIM Card from Spain and she has signal...

Any idea why this is happening?

I understand that you have an iPhone that is seeing a “No Service” message in areas where you feel you should have service. Here is an article for you with some preliminary steps to try that will help you address this issue:

I've already read that article and there's not much more I can do that I haven't done... any ideas?
