Quicktime screencast (full screen) is blurry when exported to imovie...?

The video is crystal clear when played through quicktime, but looks like atari graphics when played in imovie... any suggestions?

iMovie is a video "editor", not a player. iMovie "IMPORTS" video clips from QT files. Its source clips are displayed there for purposes of stitching them together and trimming them up, not finished viewing.
