Q: How do I get my new Mac to recognize my Windows external hard drive?

I have a Seagate external hard drive that was formatted for Windows.  I need to access these files now on my new Mac. How do I do that?  Is it possible?  These are like pictures and videos and music.

MacBook, iOS 9.1

Sure, just plug it in.  OSx is perfectly capable of reading Windows (NTFS) formatted drives. It just cannot write to them.

Once plugged in, the Drive should appear on the Desktop, or at the very least in finder, you can browser it like any other hard drive.
