I recently got a ipod touch 5th generation, and took it to a shop to get it reset. Now after i reset the ipod and not going to the store, i cannot use my apple id, i have the ipod synced with my itunes client. Any help would be appreciated!

You need to contact the seller and ask him to remove this iPhone from his list of devices. Otherwise, your device will be a useless brick.

I did buy it second hand, but b had no way of contacting him. I guess I paid $300 dollars for nothing.
Request a refund if possible. Otherwise your device is useless brick.
Can't continue with ipod setup, has the wrong apple id.
