Can't access iTunes library

Over this past weekend I was uploading video to iMovie and creating edited videos for iMovie Theater. It was working very well however, As I was creating one of my vids I went to add some music and noticed I can no longer access my iTunes library. When I go to click on the small iTunes icon all I get are my podcasts and a couple videos I previously created. I am using El Capitan.
