I cannot download iTunes to my computer. I'm on Windows 7 and I get a message saying I need a certain programme to download but it doesn't tell me which one.

The full text is: "there is a problem with the windows installer package. A programme required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor"

OK, it downloaded after I did as you suggest and repaired the Apple update but then I had a message tosay iTunes had stopped working and this was the details of the problem:

This type of error may be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. CoreAudioToolbox.dll is part of Apple Application Support and can normally be found in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.

I've found the Core Toolbox in the file as you said but how do I delete it? I've tried highlighting it but it doesn't offer me the chance to delete. Sorry to be so thick.

Select the file in Windows Explorer.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
Confirm that you want the file to be deleted.
