Error: Trying to restart GPU after hang when closing safari tab

I have a mid 2014 retina macbook pro 13'' with 8gb ram and a 128gb ssd running OSX 10.11.1.

Since the last update I keep having a Hang when I try to close a tab on safari on youtube. The computer will freeze and only the mouse cursor will work, it will freeze for 10~20 seconds and after that the safari will work slowly until I close it (cmd+q).

What is causing this? It is getting more and more common. The same doesn't happen on Chrome and although I don't mind using it I more used to safari.
