Q: Best Microphone for iPhone 6?

Hi,

 

I am wanting to use GarageBand to record my rehearsals. Is the internal mic on my iPhone 6 good enough for this purpose or do I need to use an external mic? If so, what mic?

 

Here are the details of my phone: iPhone 6, 64GB, iOS 9.1

 

I am looking to rehearse in a soundproofed studio initially doing just acoustic and vocals. The ideal is that the guitar and vocals can both be picked up clearly and for this to be good enough quality to email to the drummer and bassist for them to listen to.

 

Any thoughts?

    Check out the Apogee Mic 96k,  I use it to record my bands rehearsals as well as gigs. Great for both Ipad and Iphone , its also great for  recording vocals, and acoustic instruments. There are other mics too, Ik Multimedia makes one, I havent used it but it looks decent.

    Hey Jaishaw, I tried for a long time to get a good and iPhone 6s plus compatible microphone, but nw i'm really happy Bcz got an external microphone for my iPhone and iPad Pro. clear sound recording and  I never miss it in the music party, video sound recording and much more.
