Logic pro 9.18 crashing when I try to save on hard drive

Hi guys Logic pro 9.18 is crashing when I try to save on my hard drive rather than on Logic itself, when I go to the drop down menu on where to save it just crashes ! Any tips ? I have recently changed macs and am running El Captaine..
