Apple has fixed rate repair program, priced around $300. I don't believe you can get a batter price elsewhere. Regardless, there are third-party sites that provide repair, parts, and helpful videos. Google is your friend.

As it happens a small independent computer repair shop ordered a replacement jack and installed it. It now seems to charge just fine.
