My macbook pro says it will take 80 hours to restore from time machine, will it work?

Started installing el capitan, it froze... Got worried and decided to restore the whole thing from my time machine. That was two hours ago and it's at 2%... it says it has 80 more to go? Is it really going to take that long? Is it going to work at all?
