iPad Mini will not turn on/ charge and will not respond to power/ home button

So basically my iPad was around 80% charged. I put it down to go to sleep and the next day it was completely dead.

I tried plugging in it and there was no response. I also tried holding both the power and home button down to try reset but this also did not work.

When I plug into iTunes nothing happens there either.

Any other tips or ways to try?
