Tried setting up 4th gen apple tv last night. It won't connect to the iTunes and app store. Says it's unable to verify my apple ID. Connects to icloud and game store. Checked ID and password, both are correct.

This is a user support community - we are ALL users like yourself. The suggestions that Winston provided are the normal steps we all take to resolve issues and for 98% it works. Maybe you should take your attitude and your Apple tv4 back to where you purchased it Or contact Apple support who get paid to deal with a**holes...
especially when when you hijack someone else's thread. Maybe start your own thread so people can understand the issues you're dealing with and try and provide alternative suggestions for your specific issues and setup...
You seem to have a different problem to the original poster. Do you go to the hospital with a swollen arm and proceed to remove your spleen because that's what the person before you in the gueue was told to do.
