If my iPhone is off, will I still be able to receive calls and iMessages on my Macbook Pro?

I have an iPhone 6 and a Macbook Pro already updated to the latest iOS. I already setup where my Macbook will receive any calls or any messages my phone will receive.

In case my phone battery runs out and I don't have my charging cable so I wouldn't miss anything important.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

I know for sure that you will get iMessages because they are sent via the internet not over phone lines and masts. I can't say the same thing for calls. But why don't you test that out and report it back to the forum? 🙂

Cheers
