Dial Assist not working with Wifi Calling

Wifi Calling works for me, the only problem I have with it is that any long distance number I have needs to have a 1 dialled first or I get this annoying message telling me how to dial a phone properly.

When I'm away from wifi and using the carrier, I don't have to dial the 1 (because I have Dial Assist turned on).

Why does this not carry over to wifi calling? 15 years ago I used to store all my numbers with a 1 in front but kinda thought we had all out grown that 😟
