Newly i brought the iPhone 4s. first time i'm going to use it. But unfortunately i was unable to switch on the phone. Mobile is taking charge itself when i connect to charger. Help me on that.

Try a forced restart
To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
