When I log into the iCloud webpage on a computer other than my own, I was expecting to see all the photos from my iPhone. All I'm seeing is a few from 2 years ago. And, I'm not sure how they got there.
Does anybody know how this works?

Do you have Settings > iCloud > iCloud Photo Library turned on in your phone? And are using the same Apple ID when you log in to the website from a computer as is used at Settings > iCloud on the phone?

Yes, I do. And, I'm using the same ID when logging into the website. I turned it on, and it says 289 items to upload. Also checked is Optimize iPhone Storage. And, Upload to my PhotoStream is on. As is iCloud Photo Sharing
The other settings being on or off shouldn't matter. The only one needed for them to automatically upload is Settings > iCloud > Photos > Cloud Photo Library. Also, you need to be connect to wi-fi for them to upload. Your post says "I turned it on, and it says 289 items to upload." How long ago was that?
I realized I didn't have wifi on. Now it says uploading 289 items. Guess, I'll wait to see if anything happens
I finally uploaded all the photos. I guess doing this has eliminated Photo Stream on my iPhone. I wonder when it will upload some pics I took this morning?

In my case uploads of new photos taken happens almost immediately if I am in range of my home wi-fi or as soon as I return if not.
Wonder if it's not happening because I'm connected to my workplace wifi./
Quick question- If I delete the pics from the iCloud website, they're not gone forever from my devices, correct? Realized its taking up a lot of my free 5 gigs
If you are using iCloud Photo Library and you delete photos from either the iCloud website or from any of your devices where you have iCloud Photo Library turned on, they will be deleted from all of those places.
Thanks. I've turned it off on my iPhone (only place I had it on). Gotta find a place to upload my pics for free with a larger size limit.
