If I upgrade to the latest versions of OS

If I upgrade to the latest versions of OS & Safari, will I loose access to AppleWorks & other software of equal antiquity? I still use files written in AppleWorks.

MacBook Pro 10.6.8, 2GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3, about 6GB open on HD, total capacity 120 GB. I use external storage for my photo work.

If you are a die hard AppleWorks user, you will want to continue to use OS 10.6. AppleWorks is not supported in 10.7 and beyond.
