Q: My mac OSX El Capitan version 10.11.1 is unable to receive a scanned document from Photosmart 5520. This is a new problem since recent updates.

My mac does not accept a scanned document from Photosmart 5520 scanner into any folder in Finder, either an existing or recently created folder.

I have recently upgraded to El Capitan and wonder if this is the problem as it worked fine under the previous OSX. I feel there is an easy solution but I cannot find it. HELP please!
