I recently updated to El Capitan and when that happened, I couldn't hear audio or MIDI out of my monitor speakers. I'm still using Logic Pro 9 with an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra (4x4) and two ResolveSE speaker monitors.
Did you verify both your system and Logic output settings?
That's a very old device, and I'm not sure there are OS X 10.11 compatible drivers.
How do you hear audio out of speaker monitors through a MIDI/audio interface?
