Trouble running Picasa - ?corrupted database?
I have a MacBook Pro w/Yosemite 10.10.5. I was deleting old photos from Picasa and uploading photos to print, when Picasa locked up. I closed the app and attempted to reopen it. When I try to reopen Picasa I get the following error message: "There were errors loading the Picasa Database. Would you like to see the error log". When I click "yes" I get the following error message: imagedata_filetype.pmp,CPropertyMap=158,err=2,errno=17,oserr=17
A search of Google/Picasa troubleshooting and Apple troubleshooting for mac has led me here. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Picasa but still get the same error message.
I have thousands of photos on Picasa and am going through the process of backing them all up online - would hate to think I've lost all these photos.
I've tried several suggestions found online regarding pathways such as (username)/Library/Picasa, etc... but cannot access these pathways (I'm sure this is operator error).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure there's an easy fix here - I'm getting very frustrated at my inability to figure this out! Thanks!
