I dropped my macbook and there's a shadow on the left side of the screen?

I know, it seems so stupid that I'm even asking because "I dropped my Macbook." However, it wasn't a fall from feet up, and I really didn't notice any damage whatsoever when it occurred. I left it to charge when I went to school and when I returned, there was a display problem on the screen. The left half of my screen is darker than the right which is displaying normally. It literally looks like someone is casting a shadow from an overhead light on the screen. The laptop still functions just fine, but I was wondering if there was any way to fix this issue?
