How do I create a profile on my ipad?
Profiles are loaded to a device from a 3rd party. You cannot create one. The profiles are generally from companies or apps that require specific settings on the device. And having a profile on the device does not create a setting, it just shows one is there. I'm not aware that you can adjust any settings in a profile from the Settings app. Again, what is it that you are trying to do?
The iPad is not designed for multiple profiles like a computer is. The iPad is a single user device, as is the iPhone. What exactly is it that you are trying to customize?
I would like to create a single profile on my ipad
Profiles is missing from my settings and from what I have gathered it wont show up unless I have a profile. I need it to show up to solve another issue I have.

I do not know how you are using the word profile. a picture would be helpful.
mdm's, mobile device manager, do create profile to customize the ipad. mdm are used in schools and business.
